Kalamazoo - Bowling at Airway Lanes last Saturday, both Redskin teams fell to Portage Northern in SWMC play.
In the boys’ match, Paw Paw split the Baker games, but the Huskies easily captured the team games, 7-2, and 8-1, to claim a 23-7 win.
Hunter Schreve was on a roll for Paw Paw with 246 and 215 lines, Michael Hiestand added a 215 game, and Jeff DuCharme  finished with 188 and 182.
In a matchup of SWMC leaders, the finish came down to the last ball thrown before the Portage Lady Huskies could claim a 16-14 victory over the Paw Paw girls.
After splitting the Baker games, the Lady Reds took the first match 8-1 led by Emily Vanderburg with a 188, followed by Mara Anderson’s 172. The Huskies needed to sweep the second match to win, and they did 9-0 thanks to their anchor striking out in the 10th to take over sole possession of first place.
