The Mattawan Wildcats’ football season ended Friday with a 44-14 first round District playoff loss at the home of the undefeated Forest Hills Central Rangers.
In the final game of the regular football season, the Mattawan Wildcats hosted the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants, and notched their seventh win of the season, 28-21. The score was close throughout the game.
The Gobles Tigers were hoping to finish the season with a win Friday night against the Gales-burg-Augusta team, but found themselves down quickly when the Rams scored off their first possession of the game on their way to downing the Tigers, 21-12.
