HOCKEY: Eagles vs Blades in 12th Annual Rivalry Cup for autism

Jimmy Wressel, of Paw Paw, sets up a shot for the Kalamazoo Eagles, during the 12th annual Rivalry Cup, a fundraiser for autism. The Eagles, a composite team of players from area schools without a hockey program, faced off against the Southwest Michigan Blades, scoring the first two goals of the game. The Blades answered with two of their own to tie the score after one period. Each team scored another goal in the second period and entered the final frame knotted 3-3. A short-handed third period goal by the Blades ended the debate in their favor, 4-3.  Wressel and fellow Paw Paw player Blake Jarrett join players from Parchment, Gull Lake and Plainwell high schools on the Eagles.
