The Lawton varsity wrestling team finished 3-1 in a busy week of dual meets and brought home a fourth place finish from the historically-tough Greater Berrien County Invitational.
Sophomore Dylan Amm (119 lb.) was a standout for the Blue Devils, finishing his week 5-2 against some extremely tough competition across three weight classes (119-130). He also captured a second place individual finish at the Greater Berrien County Invitational.
Zachary Menck (160 lbs.) finished his week with an unblemished 7-0 record, winning every match by a fall or technical fall, and  taking a first place finish at the GBC Invitational.   Menck was also awarded the tournament’s Nathan Broehm Outstanding Wrestler award in the 145-285 lb. category, as voted on by the coaches.
While participating at the Delton Kellogg Invitational, Lawton defeated Constantine 51-23, lost to Delton Kellogg 24-41 and defeated both Lawrence and Martin/Climax-Scotts last Wednesday.
