Gobles hosts areas schools at Little Guy Invite

    The Gobles cross country team hosted the Little Guy Invitational last Saturday.  The weather was perfect for the 20 teams competing in the meet.
    In the boys division,  Bloomingdale was the top team, running away with the trophy with 54 points. Runner-up was host Gobles with 79 points.  Lawrence finished in fifth place with 143 points.  
    Runners earning medals for Gobles were Josh Paladi in fourth place (18:28.61), Justin Chilla in 12th place (18:48.81), Mickey Kohlert in 17th place (19:02.79), Nile Devers in 20th place (19:13.76), and Ross Thorpe in 33rd place (19:55.42).  
    For Lawrence, Isaiah Beiter finished in seventh place (18:34.77) and Alan Macyauski placed ninth (18:37.42).
    For the girls, Bloomingdale again was the winner with 48 points. Lawton placed sixth with 154 points, and Gobles finished in ninth place with 205 points. Earning medals for Gobles were Keaghan Kelly in 23rd place (22:54.71), and Emily Lopez in 37th place (23:50.08).  
    Lawton’s Megan Dopheide placed seventh (21:40.07) and Addie Modderman finished 29th (23:19.59).
