In the Division 4 Regional golf match held at Milham Golf Course, Kala-mazoo, last week, 13 teams met in hopes of advancing to State competition. Kala-mazoo Hackett was the winning team with 308 points; Kalamazoo Christian placed second with 353 points.
Gobles finished in ninth place with 420 points. Jack Adams had the low score for the Tigers with a 97, followed by Ethan Carlson with 100, Kylee Mandigo at 106, and Darin Blouin, 117.
“Overall, the season was positive. We had a lot of ups and downs as far as individual performances; but as a team, we seemed to shoot our average,” said Gobles Coach Ty Rock. “It will be tough to lose a core of seniors, but the younger kids will have to step it up and fill in. It was a lot of fun this year and with two starters returning, it’ll be interesting to see how they progress over the summer. I expect positive things to happen.”
