Van Buren Tech Future Farmers receive high recognition at National Convention

Olivia Moore, of Bangor left; Taylor Streit, of Lawrence, and Rachel Postello, also of Lawrence, each received the American Degree, the highest degree for a Future Farmer of America member, during the 92nd Future Farmers of America (FFA) National Convention and Expo, held Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, in Indianapolis, IN. The three Van Buren Tech FFA members were among 4,000 members at the convention to receive FFA’s highest degree.

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The 92nd Future Farmers of America (FFA) National Convention and Expo, held Oct 30 - Nov. 1, in Indianapolis, IN, saw three Van Buren Tech FFA members among 4,000 members receive FFA’s highest degree.
    Taylor Streit and Rachel Postello, both of Lawrence, and  Olivia Moore, of Bangor, each received the American Degree, the   luding Puerto Rico and the United States’ Virgin Islands. Van Buren Tech FFA Chapter has about 50 members, made up of students from throughout Van Buren County. The National FFA organization has over 700,000 members.
    The organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through ag education.
    This year’s convention marked 50 years of Women in FFA.
