Lawrence Supt. encouraged by CAP Report

LAWRENCE - The recently published CAP Report, provided by The Mackinac Center for Public Policy, highlighted positive points for Lawrence Elementary School.
“While not all inclusive, the results for our elementary school are a point of pride that should be shared,” said Lawrence Public Schools Superintendent Gretchen Gendron. The results rely on the last four years of academic performance data which includes:  MEAP and/or MSTEP. The CAP report card scores are relative and are based on comparisons to other schools.
“Our score shows a solid performance when comparing Lawrence Elementary to schools with similar socio-economic demographics,” said Gendron.
The report is published  every two years. The goal is to compare Michigan schools' relative performance by factoring in the role of poverty and the effects on academic achievement.
