Lawton man arrested, facing multiple drug-related charges

    ANTWERP TWP. - Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott said a 28-year-old Lawton man faces several drug-related charges following his arrest Tuesday in Antwerp Township.
    The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation into illegal narcotics activities taking place at a residence in Antwerp Township. On Tuesday, June 16, at approximately 5 p.m., the Van Buren County Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant for the residence and found the man inside the residence. Officers also found in the residence a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, paraphernalia for consuming methamphetamine, and digital drug scales.
    The man was arrested and faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, PWID methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. He was transported to the Van Buren County Jail.
    Information from the incident will be forwarded to the Van Buren County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
