February activities for teens, adults offered at VBDL Lawrence Branch

   LAWRENCE - Van Buren District Library’s Lawrence Branch will offer a day of “Anti-Valentine’s Day” activities for all teens and young adults, Saturday, Feb. 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
   Forget the lovey-dovey Valentines stuff and join the library for a day of teen/young adult fun as they watch break-up movies, jam to music, eat pizza and celebrate themselves.

   The Lawrence Branch Library will offer a day of pampering, Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
   Sessions include: Yoga, from 9 to 10 a.m.; Introduction to Meditation, 10 to 11 a.m.; Manicures and Essential to Oil Head Massage from Van Buren Intermediate School District’s Technology students, from  11 a.m.to 1 p.m.; Make and Take: and Bath Bombs, Body Butter and Sugar Scrub, from 1 to 3 p.m.
   All sessions are offered free of charge.

   An informal ‘Around Van Buren Meet and Greet’ will be held at the library, 212 N. Paw Paw St., on Tuesday, Feb. 19, between 6 and 7 p.m.
   Meet Chuck Williams, and hear about his local website and efforts to promote community activities and news. Come talk about county news, county activities, free programming help for your internet web page. Are you self-employed in trades, vehicles, farming, maintenance, power equipment with a story to tell? Drop by!
