Library to host Mall City Harmonizers
LAWRENCE - The Friends of the Lawrence Library will sponsor a free concert featuring the Mall City Harmonizers on Friday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Van Buren Conference Center, 490 S. Paw Paw St., Lawrence.
The group’s music director, David Woolf, says the members are passionate about their Barbershop hobby and very proud that they’ve been singing in Kalamazoo since 1941. “They have been winning hearts and awards for over 75 years,” said Denise Campagna, Lawrence Librarian. The singers have a wide variety of music that they sing including ballads, folk, Broadway and more.
This event is funded by a grant from the Friends of the Van Buren District Library System and the Friends of the Lawrence Branch Library and is free and open to the public.
A bake sale will be hosted by the Friends at intermission.
