BLOOD DONORS NEEDED

DECATUR - Versiti Blood Center of Michigan, formerly Michigan Blood, is issuing an emergency ap-peal for blood donations. The Center is facing shortages of all blood types, especially O positive and O negative.
To help replenish supplies, VBDL Webster Memorial, Decatur, is hosting a Versiti blood drive, Monday, February 24, from 3 to 7 p.m. Community members are asked to please schedule an appointment online at https://bit.ly/2v9nR9C.
The Blood Center’s goal is to have three to five days of blood donations on hand; however, they are currently at less than a half day’s supply. Versiti is relying on the public to help ward off this potential crisis situation.
