Filmmaker Kyle Misak, a 2012 graduate of Mattawan High School, center left, with approval from the Mattawan Consolidated School District and the Village of Mattawan, filmed scenes for a movie last Saturday night and early Sunday morning using Mattawan High School, the Mattawan varsity football team, band members, and the Mattawan student body to sit in the bleachers.  The movie, “Sullivan,” is the story of a high school football player who imagines himself to be the greatest football player of all time.  Misak plans to submit the film to the Sundance Film Festival in 2019, as well as their pitch to turn the concept into a feature-length film.
