A Christmas Carol

    The curtain went up Friday, Dec. 7. on the Paw Paw Village Players’ holiday production of “A Christmas Carol.” New and veteran Players  performed on the Main Stage at Freshwater Community Church, 600 E. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw, where additional shows are scheduled next weekend, December 14 and 15, at 7:30 p.m.  Handmade Victorian Christmas ornaments and decorations will be available for purchase. Many from the cast of Dickens’ classic below, including Scrooge, the Cratchitt family, and the ghosts of Christmases past, present and future, were part of the Village of Paw Paw’s “Christmas in the Village” Tree Lighting Ceremony last Friday evening, and Children’s Christmas Parade on Saturday, above. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and $5 for students, and may be reserved by calling the PPVP message line at (269) 657-PLAY (7529). Tickets will be available at the door, or may also be purchased through a cast member. (The Village Players website, www.ppvp.org, is currently under construction and not able to take ticket orders or reservations.)
