Paw Paw Village Players’ holiday production of “A Christmas Carol” opens Dec. 7

While the cast polishes up their roles, Village Players crew members finish work on the set for “A Christmas Carol,” opening Dec. 7.

PAW PAW - The Paw Paw Village Players are busy putting the finishing touches on their holiday production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” adapted and directed by Players’ veteran Renee Beck.
Starring John Thierwechter as Ebenezer Scrooge, this year’s production introduces many new faces to the Village Players stage, along side many old favorites.
“The costumes and sets are so authentic, you’ll think you have been transported back to 19th century London,” boasts PPVP President Don Stine.
Show times are set for December 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m., plus one matinee on December 8 at 3 p.m. All performances will be on the Freshwater Community Church Main Stage, 600 E. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw.
Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and $5 for students, and may be reserved by calling the PPVP message line at (269) 657-PLAY (7529). Tickets will also be available at the door. The Village Players website, www.ppvp.org, is currently under construction and not able to make ticket sales.
The Christmas Tea, set for Saturday, Dec. 1 has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.  The Players regret the late notice, but are already planning for next year.
