PAW PAW - A  Paw Paw Middle School student has been  invited to play soccer in Greece this summer as a member of the Livonia, MI, travel soccer team.
Max Crawford, a PPMS sixth grader, was invited to travel with the team to Greece in June, where they will participate in two tournaments, the Vermio Soccer Tournament and the 10th annual Balkan Tournament, during their 15-day stay.
Crawford, has picked up the nickname, “Bullet,” because he is always “thinking on his feet, but mostly for his quickness and speed” according to his mother, Jane Crawford.
A fundraiser for Crawford will be held  Saturday, April 15, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Paw Paw Brewery. The business will donate 100 percent of the food profits to Crawford.
Paw Paw musician, Chris Brill will provide entertainment for the event.
