Community yard sale, end-of-season events at County Museum

    HARTFORD - The Van Buren County Historical Society will host a county-wide yard sale, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the museum grounds.
    Crafters, antique collectors and produce individuals are also welcomed at 58471 Red Arrow Highway, Hartford.
    Booth rental for a 10-by-10 space is $20. Knives, guns or pornography will not be permitted at the yard sale.
        Booth requests and payment may be sent to: Van Buren County Historical Society, P.O. Box 452, Hartford, MI, 49057.
    Sellers are asked to bring their own tables. Table and canopy set up begins at 8 a.m.
    The Lawrence Lions’ Leo Club will help unload, set up canopies, and load up at end of day for the rain or shine event.
    In case of bad weather, there will be no refunds.
    Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for a nominal fee.
    The museum will be open for tours with the regular fee of $5 for 12 years and up, and $2 for 5 to 11 years of age.
    On Sept. 27, the museum’s  last Soup Supper of the season will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m.  The soup supper will feature  homemade soups, sloppy joes, salads, desserts and drinks, all for a free-will donation.
    The museum’s last day for public tours will be Wednesday, Oct. 2, from noon to 5 p.m.
