County Museum hosts its last two events of the season

    HARTFORD - Now that it’s September, the Van Buren County Museum will begin to wind down its 2018 season, with just two  more events this season.
    On Sept. 16, the museum, located at 58471 Red Arrow Highway, Hartford, will present  a  Murder Mystery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants may arrive anytime during that period for clues to find out who really killed John Patrick O’Malley. Admission is  $5  for adults, and students, 6 to 13, $2. Children five and under are free.
    On Sept. 23, a paranormal event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Reservations  are limited and must be made by Sept. 21, by calling (269) 621-2546. This event, hosted by MIPRO, of Decatur, is $20 per person. Those attending are asked to bring a flashlight.
    Museum regular hours are Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday is archival search day. Those seeking information are encouraged to call ahead at (269) 621-2188 and let the museum search team assist.
