Steve Rigoni to present “Dear Eleanor, One Civil War Soldier’s Story”

 The Van Buren Regional Genealogical Society invites the public to a free presentation, “Dear Eleanor” by Steve Rigoni on Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Webster Memorial Library in Decatur.
This special presentation is the story of a 1st Michigan Infantry soldier in the Civil War told through his letters home to his sweetheart, and Rigoni’s own historical research.
Rigoni is a member of the Van Buren County Historical Society and he will present this program in first person as soldier James Henry Wheaton. The evening will include refreshments by host, Jane Wagel.
