Gloria I. Root

    Gloria Irene Root, 74, of Marcellus, passed away Thursday, morning, Oct. 25, 2018. Gloria was born Aug. 27, 1944, in Volinia Township, MI, the daughter of Norman R. and Irene M. (Hull) Root, who precede her in death.
    Gloria is survived by one brother, Robert D. (Lois) Root of Marcellus; one sister, Norma J. Root of Buchanan; and four       nieces, Gina (Mike) Cody of Remington, IN, Lisa (Tom) Graffore of Rockford, IL, Karla (Brian) Gallivan of Rockford, IL, and Roberta (Paul) Krous of Luddington, MI, and many great nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by nephew-in-law: Paul Krous.
    Gloria finished her education at Marcellus High School and worked over 40 years for Bronson LakeView Hospital, Paw Paw, in food service. She enjoyed playing the saxophone and accordion to gospel music. She had a deep understanding and love for animals, particularly her horse and dog from her childhood.
    The family welcomed friends      for visitation, Tuesday, Oct. 30. A funeral service followed, with burial at Crane Cemetery.  Officiating was John Messner.
    Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
