Readers’ Voice

Letter to the Editor:
The Paw Paw American Legion post held their third annual Lasagna Dinner over this past weekend. Some of the funds were raised during the dinner were to help defray the cost and support for the Guardians of the local Talon Out Flights, this cost is about $500 for each Guardian.
A Guardian has the privilege and honor of accompanying a Veteran on their Honor Out Flight. As a Guardian, they are responsible for the well-being of the Veteran for the entire day. Often a family member takes up this honor. The Honor Flight Network recognizes American veterans for your sacrifices and achievements by flying them to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials at no cost to the Veteran.
Top priority is given to World War II and terminally ill veterans from all wars. To all of those who came to the dinner and enjoyed a great meal the Post thanks you.
This fall we will be putting on our Fourth Annual Spaghetti Dinner to support some of the Holiday projects in the community. This would not be a success without the help of the community and those who helped sponsor this dinner: McDonald's, Family Fare, Save-a-Lot, Pizza Hut, La Cantina, Final Gravity Brewing, Wagoner’s, and Walmart.
   Thank You.
