Letter to the Editor:
I want to start this letter off with the warmest and most sincere thank you to the citizens of Southwest Michigan who have allowed me to represent them for the last fourteen years. It has been an absolute privilege and honor.
With that, I urge you to vote for two people who defend and represent our Southwest Michigan values: Aric Nesbitt and Beth Griffin. Aric and Beth have fought tirelessly to grow Michigan’s economy all while defending our Southwest Michigan values. These two wonderful people will continue to work on making sure our roads and schools are properly funded, decreasing the costs of auto insurance, and continuing to protect Michigan’s comeback. There is so much at stake this year and we can not afford to elect people who will send us back to the lost decade of higher taxes and smaller pay checks.
    Sincerest Regards,
    Senator Tonya Schuitmaker

Letter to the Editor:
Southwest Michigan produces one-third of Michigan’s agriculture business. As the struggles on the national level over farming tariffs continue, we need someone who has consistently voted to defend our farmers here in Michigan. We need Aric Nesbitt! A vote for Aric is a vote for farmers.

I am voting for Aric Nesbitt on November 6th for State Senate. I admire the way he worked hard in the Michigan House of Representatives to balance the budget four years in a row. I know he will do the same in the Senate.

Letter to the Editor:
The year was 2008, I was in 8th grade. Michigan was a dying economic beast collapsing in upon itself. I remember being worried whether or not my parents were going to have a job when good chunk of Detroit look like it had become a war zone. The horizon looked bleak and empty.
The year is 2018, I am 25 years old. I am no longer worried whether my parents will have a job when they wake up. Michigan is a  phoenix rising from the ashes of bankruptcy. Detroit is a place I
frequent throughout the year with friends. The horizon looks bright and prosperous.
I want to take the time in this letter to thank Tonya Schuit-maker, Aric Nesbitt, and Beth Griffin. I want to thank them for making sure Michigan had stronger fiscal policy than it did from 2000-2010. I want to thank them for making sure I had a future in Michigan.
I urge you all to join me in voting for Aric Nesbitt for State Senate and Beth Griffin for State Representative. These two individuals, with passion and vigor, will defend our great state and its economic resurgence.
    God Bless,

Letter to the Editor:
With over two million people each year in the United States suffering from some type of opioid addiction, there needs to be something done about the Opioid crisis. Southwest Michigan is lucky to have Congressman Fred Upton who has taken such an active role to end the crisis.             Recently, because of Fred’s promotion and involvement with local law enforcement, our community has participated in several successful take back to get these harmful drugs off our streets.             Fred further secured grants and funding through his revolutionary 21st Century Cures Act which will give us folks here in Michigan an additional $32 million in grant funding to combat the opioid crisis.
I am glad our congressman fights the underlying issues of drug abuse as well as has taken measures to combat the effects of drug abuse on our loved ones who have been touched by the opioid crisis.

We are supporting Mike Jones  for the Paw Paw Public School Board.
Mike was born and raised in Paw Paw. He graduated from Paw Paw in 1981. He raised two children that also graduated from Paw Paw Public Schools, and a wife that graduated from the same school. He currently has three grandchildren.
Mike has coached rocket, middle school, and high school football. He is a member of the Paw Paw Lions Club.
Mike attends Paw Paw School Board meetings on a regular basis. He is deeply concerned about the education of our young people not only for college prep but also vocational training for those that may not want to attend college.
We know for a fact he has employed many young people over the years.
Mike appears to us to be a genuine person, sincere about his actions, not a fence rider, and honest person with feelings for others. We are sure he will be a great asset to our Paw Paw School Board.
