Readers' Voice

   Greetings from the Campus for Creative Aging
and Region IV Area Agency on Aging!
   As the final days of 2019 have passed, we wanted to take a few moments to thank you for your support this year. Whether it was serving as a volunteer, taking advantage of our Information and Assistance telephone line, receiving counseling on Medicare and Medicaid, singing with the Sounds Good Choir, or making a financial contribution, your participation was immensely important to us.
   Your 2019 contributions have supported:
   • 1,478 vulnerable seniors and persons with disabilities so that they could live with dignity at home;
   • The Campus for Creative Aging, where 14 classes were offered and 363 people learned something new;
   • 90,828 hours with area students served by Foster Grandparents;
   • 3,091 area seniors who received counseling to save $5,715,520 in Medicare and Medicaid costs; and
   • Answering 14,194 telephone requests for information, advice, and assistance.
   As you can see, it was a great year here at Area Agency on Aging! We couldn’t accomplish this much without your generous support. Thank you again, and we look forward to your continued support in 2020!
   Respectfully,
   Amy Nichols
