Gobles-Decatur see-saw battle goes to Raiders

   The Gobles baseball team played Decatur Tuesday afternoon, jumping out to the early lead by scoring two runs in the first inning. The Raiders answered by tying the game up at three apiece after the fourth inning. 
   In the bottom of the fifth inning, Gobles had back-to-back doubles by Jake Getman and Brady Burnell to score three runs in the inning and to take the 5-3 advantage. The lead was short-lived, as the Raiders scored three runs in the top of the sixth. 
   Gobles could not answer back and lost, 6-5.
   Each team had eight hits in the game. For Gobles, Getman and Burnell each had two hits with a double. Alex Tyrell, Josh Lopez, and Hunter Tenbusschen turned in one hit apiece, and Gabe Miller hit a double. 
   The Tigers used four different pitchers in the game.  Going 2.2 innings was Getman with four strike outs; Caleb Brady pitching 1.0 inning, Brady Burnell, 2.1 innings, and Gabe Miller, 1.0  inning.
