Paw Paw baseball standouts commit to college teams

   With the 2019 high school baseball season just starting, two Paw Paw High School  seniors have already committed to extending their baseball careers into the college ranks next fall.
   Zack Callahan has agreed to play for Spring Arbor University. Callahan was a standout as a junior, compiling a .333 batting average, while leading the Redskins in runs-batted-in with 28. He also compiled a 4.06 earned run average on the pitching mound.
   Caleb Schmitt has set his course to continue his baseball and academic careers  at Lake Michigan College. Last season, Schmitt batted .307 with 23 runs scored in 75 at bats.  He also was effective on the mound, compiling an excellent earned run average as a pitcher of .294 in 19 innings of work.
