Paw Paw sweeps So. Haven

   SOUTH HAVEN  -  The Paw Paw Redskin boys baseball team continued its hot start to the season and remain undefeated with a doubleheader sweep of the South Haven Rams on the road Tuesday evening. 
   The Redskins, now 9-0, won game one, 5-1, behind a gem on the mound by Jack Westerhoff, who hurled a complete game, allowing just three hits while striking out nine Ram batters. 
   Caleb Schmitt led all Paw Paw hitters with three hits and two RBI. Sophomore Jason Rocz went two-for-three, and Tyler Wressel and Devon Surdy each had a double and an RBI. 
   The Redskins won game two, 13-3, behind the strong pitching performance by Schmitt, who struck out 10 Ram batters in his five innings of work.  Landen Harris and Michael Hiestand each pitched a scoreless inning. 
   Offensively, the Redskins were led by Schmitt, Westerhoff and Hiestand with two hits each. Schmitt and Westerhoff added three RBI apiece, and Kurtis Carr reached base four times, drawing three walks, and added a single. Caleb Bowen had two RBI for the game.
