Gobles wins and advances

    The Gobles boys basketball team opened Districts with a 68-47 win over the Bangor Vikings. The Tigers had defeated the Vikings twice in the regular season by 20 points in each game.  But, at playoff time anything can happen and the Vikings came out ready to play.  
    Gobles got down quickly, trailing 16-7, but started to work its way back into the game tying it up 16-all after the first quarter.   The Tigers held a 33-29 lead at halftime.  
    In the second half, Gobles took control of the game out scoring the Vikings 35-18.  
    Gobles’ Adam Fifer added the spark for the Tigers, scoring 17 points on the night and grabbing  nine rebounds. Tyler Hunt had 25 points and eight rebounds, and Chase Miles added 10 points.
