The Gobles boys basketball team traveled to South Haven on Tuesday night. The Tigers struggled with the Rams’ full court pressure, giving South Haven easy points.  Gobles fell behind quickly and could not overcome the big deficit.
Gobles trailed by 26 points in the first half and lost 71-53.
“We let them bring the game to us and had to chase all night long,” said Gobles Coach Scott Sherrod. “Any time we looked like we could make a run, they responded and I have to give them credit.
“We lost focus over the long layoff and will look to gain traction again and show better against Fennville on Friday.” This was Gobles first loss of the season.
Gobles’ Karsen Tackett had 14 points and five assists. Brady Burnell scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
