PAW PAW - A strong performance against a good soccer team gave the Lady Redskins their second win in a row Friday evening, a 3-1 decision over Division I Kalamazoo Central.
Paw Paw has always played well against the Maroon Giants; in fact, they have never lost in the series, winning six and tying the other two matches.
Kate Thompson started the scoring for the Lady Redskins with an assist from Karley Babcock. Brooklyn Deming also put the ball in goal in the first half for, as it turned out, all the offense needed to claim the win.
Claudia Muessig provided some insurance with a second period goal, ably assisted by Hannah Warner. The Lady ’Skins dominant defense kept the Lady Giants away from the net most of the evening.
