The Lawton soccer team, playing host to Schoolcraft in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, fell to the Eagles, 4-1.
The Blue Devils struggled to effectively move the ball up the field against the Eagles and, consequently, could not mount an efficient offensive attack. They found themselves on their own side of the field the majority of the time trying to clear the ball out and away from their own goal.
The Blue Devils’ goal keeper, senior Andrew O’Donnell, was able to stop most shots on goal;, but even with his tenacious defense, the Eagles slipped a few past him. His ability to kick the the ball deep up field after each save gave the Devils good ball placement, but the offense could not convert it into a score.
