The Lawton girls soccer team, with only 11 players and no subs available, hosted Lake Michigan Catholic, with an ever-pressing offense that was more than the Lady Blue Devils could manage.
To their credit, the home team put up a great defense to hold the Lakers to just one goal in the first half, even though the Lakers had the ball pinned back on the Lawton defensive side for almost the entire 20 minutes.
The standout player of the game was the Blue Devil goalie Karrie Owen. Six shots got past her in the game, but she stopped way more than twice that many.
The Lakers went home with a 6-0 win over the Lady Blue Devils.
