Gobles hosts Little Guys meet

    Gobles hosted the Little Guys Track meet on Friday night, with 17 boys teams and 15 girls teams participating. Delton Kellogg won the boys meet with 111.5 points, followed by Bloomingdale (81.5) and Saugatuck (56.25) in second and third. Gobles finished in seventh place with 37.5 points.  
    Jimmy Sandahl had a great day for the Tigers, winning two first and two third places. He won the 400m with a time of 52.72,  placed third in the 200m in 24.46 and ran a leg in the first place 4x100 relay and the third place 4x400 relay.  
    Brady Dembinski placed sixth in the high jump (5-06) and seventh in the 300m hurdles (47.41). Nile Devers was ninth in the 3200m (10.49.92).  The 4x100 relay team of Dembinski, Eric Phillips, Ross Thorpe and Sandahl won the race with a time of 46.75. Placing third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:44.32 was Dembinski, Mickey Kohlert, Thorpe and Sandahl.
    Saugatuck was the winning team for the girls with 143 points. Marcellus was second with 88 points.
    Gobles finished in 14th place with 13 points. Michaela Buxton placed fifth in the 100m dash (14.43); Keaghan Kelly was ninth in the 1600m (6:17.47) and the 3200m (13:44.36). Karlee Henderson finished seventh in the 300m hurdles (58.10); Ava Jacus, 12th in the 400m (1:10.72),  and Carlie Hancox 11th in the high jump (4-05).
