Gobles track teams host Lawrence and K-Christian

In field events against K-Christian and Lawrence last week, Gobles’ Dylan Schafer placed 10th in the discus.Karlie Henderson finished in fifth place in the shot put.

    GOBLES - The Gobles track teams hosted Kalamazoo Christian and Lawrence last week. The boys team finished second with 45 points behind Kalamazoo Christian with 97. Lawrence placed third with 20 points.
    Gobles’ Jimmy Sandahl had a good night, winning three events - the 100m dash (11.57), 200m dash (23.62) and the 400m (54.36). Brady Dembinski won the high jump (5'05) and the 300m hurdles (48.53). Ross Thorpe was fourth in the 800 run (2:2.89); Justin Chilla, fifth in the 1600 run (5:16.12) and third in the 3200 run (11:32.47).
    In the girls meet,  Kalamazoo Christian finished with 68 points, Gobles and Lawrence both tallied 45 points.  
    Gobles’ Karlee Hender-son won the 300m hurdles (56.07), placed third in the 100m  hurdles (21.82), and fifth in the shot put (24'02). Michaela Buxton was second in the 100m dash (14.02) and third in the 200m (30.37).  Laurel Burke second in the 200m (30.06) and third in the 100m dash (14.53).  Ava Jacus was third in the 400m (1:10.84) and fourth in the long jump (12'06). Keaghan Kelly finished second in the 3200m (14:57.27) and third in the 1600m (6:41.58).
