Gobles turns in strong individual performances

    The Gobles track team traveled to Saugatuck on a cold, windy afternoon. The Tigers, running against a strong Indian team, were out-matched and lost to the Indians, 110-20.  
    Gobles’ Jimmy Sandahl had a good night, winning the 200m dash (24.87), winning the 400m dash (54.11), and placing second in the 100m dash (12.15).  
    Justin Chilla was second in the 3200m run (11:30.51) and Brady Dembinski tied for first in the high jump (5'4").
    The Lady Tigers also lost to the Indians, 116-19.  The Tigers’ Carlie Hancox was dominate in the 100m hurdles, placing first (18.65) and second in the high jump (4’4’’).
    Gobles’ Michaela Buxton was second in the 200m dash (31.61) and third in the 100m dash (14.54). Ava Jacus placed second in the 400m dash (1:17.18).  


    Both teams ran at the Otsego Lions Relay. The boys  finished in sixth place and the girls, in seventh.  
    “It was windy and cold, but both teams showed significant improvement against some very good competition,” said Gobles Coach Marc Kline.
    The Lady Tigers placed fifth in the combo distance, fourth in the 1600 relay, third in the sprint medley, fifth in the shot put and fifth in the Bulldog Relay.
    The boys placed fifth in the 1600 relay, fifth in the combo distance relay, third in the sprint medley and fifth in the 400 relay.
