Ag Awareness Day held

    Ag Awareness Day was held May 16 and 17 at the Van Buren Youth fairgrounds in Hartford.  A total of 557 first and second graders from schools around the county attended, as well as 181 adults. The  event featured 13 stations which included agricultural equipment/row crops, beef, swine, fruit, goat/sheep, horticulture, horse, bees, dairy, rabbits/chickens, natural resources, ag careers, and farm safety.  The Van Buren County Farm Bureau supplied milk and cookies as refreshments for the students.
